At the Place Guild Network, we believe in the need to think differently about the areas we live, work and play in.
What we believe
All over the UK there is untapped potential hidden in local communities. Ideas to be implemented, meaningful connections to be made, people to be encouraged, undiscovered local talent to be found and voices to engage.
What we do
We primarily work in areas with a high level of deprivation, where there is an urgent need for realistic, long term and holistic solutions to social and economic health. We establish a Placemaking Guild of business owners, local governance, educators, community leaders and more which acts as a catalytic network to bring about tangible change.
How we do it
We start with a discovery process to ensure we have understood the DNA of the place from a variety of perspectives. We then facilitate a design thinking process between local leaders; bridging the gaps between businesses, charities and community members. A Guild of invested people is formed to act on a shared vision and heart for the place.
